💯🐦The Special Bird of The Century of NZ!

Kia ora bloggers, today I’ll share my presentation on the Bird of the Century slides:

During my summer trip to the South Island I went to Otago at 9 pm to see the little Blue penguins return from the sea to hunt and they were shorter than my sister! When we walked back to the car we could hear little squawks, cheeps in the dark where the little birds nest.

Have you seen a little blue penguin?                                                                                                                                                Have you seen a penguin of a another kind?

Kind Regards

✈️💥Explorer Ponder 3!!!

Malo ni bloggers, if I was in the plane and it was about to crash in the middle of nowhere, well then I would start panicking before it even crashed and a slight chance passed out. When the plane crashes I’ll black out, then if I wake up to find myself in a forest I might pee my pants. I’ll try to calm myself down and then try to survive until help comes.

What would you do?                                                                                                                                                                                     What is your favourite animal from the rain forest?

Young Ocean Explorers Visit🐟🦈🐋🐬

Kia ora bloggers, on Thursday Week 9, Riley from Young Ocean Explorers came over to spend her time to talk about the ocean and what is happening to it right now.

One of the things I learned was that 300,000,000 tonnes of plastic are produced each year and 14,000,000 tonnes are dumped into the ocean each year which ends up killing a lot of marine animal which is very sad.

My favourite fact was that Riley used to be scared of sharks and seaweed.

What was your favourite fact and why?

One and Only Ivan Ponder 9

Kia ora bloggers, I think that Ivan nervous of visiting other gorillas because he might think he is weak and he doesn’t know how to act like a normal gorilla and be a silver back.

I think other gorillas will feel curious since they have a new member of the troop, but after a while they will know and understand Ivan.

What do you think and why?

One & Only Ivan Ponder 8

Kia ora bloggers, I think it is possible for animals to communicate with humans because apes can learn sign language. Once a African Grey Parrot learned more than 100 words! Domesticated animals such as dogs and cats often obey human rules.

I think that Julia understood Ivan’s puzzle painting before her dad did because she was an artist and she spend nearly all day with him.

What do you think and why?

Do you know any other animals that obey human rules?

One and Only Ivan Ponder 6

Kia ora bloggers, I think that Ivan doesn’t remember, but he tries to because Stella is dead and he doesn’t want to make Ruby get nightmares.

Also, I feel like he does remember some bits because they were the most memorial and scary.

I feel like he wants to forget about the bad memories because he cannot focus on escaping to make Ruby have a better life.

What do you think and why?

Have you heard the phrase “the past is to heavy so leave it behind”?

Kind Regards Darren Rm23

One and Only Ivan Ponder 5

Kia ora bloggers, I think that Ivan wants to help Ruby since she is alone and has no one to entertain her. Another reason is that Stella died and her will is Ivan to help Ruby to break out of the circus and get into a zoo with her.

I think that Ruby would love to be in a zoo since there are relatives there, but she would feel nervous without Stella around to protect her.

What do you think and why?

My A Walk To Remember Writing

Kia ora bloggers, here is my writing:

The Dungeon Escape

There was an old figure with silvery hair and a long cane. She was kidnapped and forced to live in the dungeon. Luckily, she was slim and there was a small window above. Before escaping she checked for any sign of the kidnapper. No one was in sight, so she quickly slipped through a small crack in the dungeon.

Then she searched for the Wise Old Wizard to get back home. She looked all around, but all she found was a lush, humongous tree. At the end of an abandoned, winding railway, there was a faint sparkle. Immediately, she knew it was the shine of the Wise Old Wizard. The wizard had a crooked back and a long strip of fluffy, dried paint hanging from his chin. He wore a blue cloak with yellow stars on top and a purple pointed hat.

I found making it descriptive, but ideas were difficult.

Here is my task 4:

Task 4

Imagine you experienced this adventure. Write 2-3 sentences about how you would feel and why.

I would feel seriously scared because I would hate being stuck in a dungeon and being alone.

I would also feel seriously scared because I had to live in a dungeon for many days.

Another reason is that I’d feel scared because I’d be alone.

Unfortunately, I haven’t finished the writing.

What do you think could happen next?

Kind Regards Darren

One and Only Ivan Ponder 1

Kia ora bloggers, I think that gorillas shouldn’t live in a mall because it could be a lot of work and it could be really dangerous.                 Seeing a lot of people might also stress the gorillas.

I think that Ivan is not lonely since he has a few friends including Bob and Stella

If I was a gorilla I would live in an animal shelter because people would take care of me and I would be loved.                                                           I wouldn’t mind living in the wild either!
